Lyndsay Ward – Principal

Lyndsey trained at the Urdang Academy and London Studio Centre. She has taken vocational exams in all the major syllabuses including: The Royal Academy, Cecchetti Ballet, Russian Ballet, IDTA Ballet, Modern, Tap and ISTD Modern and Tap before dancing professionally on both stage and TV. She was The West Midland Senior Ballet Champion and a finalist in Miss Dance of Great Britain.

Lyndsey has been a practical teaching supervisor for the Royal Academy CBTS course and has mentored for their BADE practical placement. Lyndsey was Artistic Director of the Birmingham youth dance company for 20yrs and more recently EONE7 youth theatre. She has taught as a freelance artist at many schools in Waltham Forest and was the specialist GCSE dance teacher at Trinity Catholic high school in Woodford for 10 yrs. She has seen past pupils go on to train in many of the top vocational colleges including, the Royal ballet school, Elmhurst school, the Urdang Academy, Central School of Ballet, Mountview, Italia Conti, Stella Mann, London Studio Centre, Rose Bruford, Northern Contemporary, LIPA and the Brit School amongst many. Past pupils have now become successful performers and teachers in both the private and commercial sector of the industry.

Dance is for everyone!

Her down to earth and no nonsense approach has led to her continued success in a highly competitive world but she remains faithful to her belief that ‘dance is for everyone’ no matter where you come from. This is something that was instilled into her at a young age when first embarking on what was to become her passion in her first dance class many years ago in Birmingham
