Ballet at Vestry
Ballet teaches strength, coordination, and flexibility, it helps the body to be strong and limber and improves mobility and posture. It is a great cardiovascular activity and it promotes healthy physical activity.
At Vestry, we follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus which provides an in-depth study of developing ballet technique, music and performance skills. Students move through Primary levels and then into eight Graded levels. We enter the children into exams where appropriate.
Vocational / Pointe
Students can move from Graded Examinations to Vocational Graded Examinations when the teacher feels pupils are ready and sufficiently strong, they can study both pathways graded and vocational simultaneously.
Vocational ballet classes provided a further study of ballet technique, introducing pointe work and more challenging allegro movements.
