New Term Starts Friday 7th September 2018
Lucy Hopkins joined Vestry when she was 11 years old and joined all the classes that were on the timetable. Her performance ability went from strength to strength and she later gained a place at Italia Conti Arts Centre where she trained for 3 years on the Musical Theatre course. She gained her ISTD Advanced 2s in all three disciplines (Ballet, Modern and Tap) as well as training in both Aerial and Silks. Lucy also gained her ISTD DDE teaching qualifications in Ballet, Modern and Tap. Lucy recently finished her 1st professional job, cruising round the world.
When she is in London Lucy is an active teaching member of Vestry.
Born and raised in Walthamstow, Kieran joined Vestry at the later age of 14. He began with once a week drama classes, but soon began taking more classes in singing, dance and performers, and could be found at the Vestry most days of the week. Kieran went on to train at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, gaining a foundation diploma in Musical Theatre, and a degree in Acting and Performing arts. Since graduating in 2014 he went on the become the choreographer for Boheme Productions’ ‘Shout!’ The mod musical, which gained five star reviews at there Edinburgh fringe run. Kieran joined the teaching faculty of Vestry in 2015 and will work with the Performers classes on Saturdays.
Jade started her initial training at Vestry school of dance studying all genres of dance and performing arts She then went on to study at Stella Mann College for a further 4yrs before graduating with a Diploma in Performing arts.Jade is completing her ISTD DDE Modern and Tap exams and has just converted her Diploma into a Degree.
Laura was a pupil at Vestry from a very young age she gained a place at The Elmhurst school in Birmingham at the age of 14 which she attended for two years before moving back to London to complete her training at Central School of Ballet. As part of Ballet Central, the third year touring company, Laura had a chance to work with a range of choreographers and performed extensively around the UK and also in Paris where she danced at the British Embassy. After graduating with a BA Honours Degree she performed as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in two shows, sections of which were prepared for performances at the Royal Albert Hall.
Laura has just returned from dancing in Japan and is heading off in July to dance on a cruise. When she is in London she is an active teaching member of Vestry.
Holly Weston was born and raised in Walthamstow, London. She had her early training with Vestry before training as a dancer full-time at The Urdang Academy and started acting classes at The Anna Scher Theatre from the age of sixteen, she also spent a year at The Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.In 2008 she landed her first lead role alongside Eugene Hutz and Vicky McClure, in Madonna’s directorial debut, Filth and Wisdom, which premiered the Berlin Film Festival. Her next leading role was in the Uk horror film Splintered, playing Sophie, a troubled teen. Other recent credits include Sadie in Law and Order UK for ITV, Fleur in Off the Hook for BBC and Grace in Harley Street, ITV. Holly recently completed a short directed by Academy Award nominee Mike Figgis, in which she plays the female lead. She is currently playing Ash Kane in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks.
Sophie was born in Walthamstow and started dancing at Vestry school of dance as a child attending once a week. She developed a love for modern dance and joined Vestry’s Performer class which introduced her to musical theatre. At 16 Sophie gained a place at the Brit school of Performing Arts and spent two years training in all aspects of dance. Sophie then gained a place at The Urdang academy on the 3 year diploma course. Sophie graduated in July 2016 and has recently been cruising around the Caribbean and America on her first professional dance job.
