Summer Term Newsletter – April 2018

31.05.2018

Welcome back and a warm welcome to all our new students!

Well done to everyone who took part in the Senior and Junior Showcases and My First Dance show during March and April. Over 600 students took part overall, all the children did so well and the behavior backstage was exemplary. Thank you to all those who have taken the time to send some wonderful feedback. I would also like to say thank you to all the senior students and ex-students who helped back stage during the junior shows – they all gave up their time freely and I am enormously grateful for their commitment to the school. DVD’s will be sent out shortly directly from the film company, if you did not pre-order one you can still place an order by visiting www.allmediaworks.co.uk, entering code VSODAPA, please ensure you order the correct date and matinee or evening performance. Finally, a big thank you to all those who made donations to the Myton Hospice who cared for my father, an incredible £1739 was raised.

We say goodbye this term to Ike Fallon who teaches our pre-senior classes – Ike is leaving Vestry to perform in Fame the musical. We wish him the best of luck. We welcome back for this term Miss Laura and Miss Lucy, both of whom were pupils at the school when younger and who have gone on to start their own professional careers as well as teach.

We have another busy term ahead with some of our students preparing for their RAD Ballet and ISTD Tap and Modern exams, which will take place towards the end of the summer term. We will also be holding our in-house Vestry awards – letters will be sent out in the next few weeks.
